Praktina  IIA
Model Identification: Praktina IIA name on the front and Diaphgram's control of automatic lenses.

The Kamera-Werke introduces the Praktina IIA at the Leipzig Fair in February 1958. This camera seems identical in the aspect to the previous Praktina FX but inside it has important improvement. The shutter has geometric speed settings from 1" to 1/1000", the new ASB lenses have the fully automatic diaphragm control and the flash synchronization has one flash socket for FP-F-X made via a selector lever placed under the rewind knob. The new Flexon 2/50mm replaces the old Biotar 2/58 and an eyelevel finder with exposure meter is offered with this camera.
The Praktina System was always improved. In 1960 the KW introduces the auto extension ring set , new bellows focusing attachment for ASB lenses, the 17m magazine back with frame counter and the rapid lever wind.
The production started in 1958 and ended in 1960. Two different types have beeen classified and the total production is estimated in 25,000 cameras.
