Praktina
Model Identification: Praktina name on the front

The Kamera-Werke, at that time VEB Kamera-Werkstätten, showed the prototype of Praktina in April 1952 at the Photokina exhibition in Köln and in September 1952 at the Leipzig Fair. With the new Praktina are also shown accessories and lenses that highlight the future system of this camera. The list of accessories includes eye-level finder, waist-level finder, 6x micro focusing finder, portrait finder with 3x magnification, rapid-sequence spring motor for up to 10 shoots, electric motor with magnetic remote control, 2:1 extension bellows and microscope adapter. The lenses from Carl Zeiss Jena and Mayer-Optik cover a range from 3,5cm to 50cm.
In the first quarter of 1953, Kamera-Werke carries out the final design of the Praktina fitting two sockets for "X" and "F" synchronization and adding the semiautomatic control of lens diaphragm .
New accessories are 17m cassette back, stereo finder for Carl Zeiss Stereo attachments and 1:1 bellows focusing attachment. The rapid-sequence spring motor and the electric motor have different shape and the lenses cover a range from 40mm to 500mm.
